"Girls" and "Enlightened" might be over for now, but we don't have too long to wait for another quality HBO sitcom to start up, as we're four weeks from the start of the second season of "Veep," the Emmy-award winning political comedy starring Julia-Louis-Dreyfus. Created by Armando Iannucci, the man behind "The Thick Of It," and "In The Loop," the first season might not have quite hit the peaks of brilliance of the earlier show and movie, but it's still one of the most consistent and enjoyable sitcoms on TV.

Created by Armando Iannucci, the man behind "The Thick Of It," and  "In The Loop," the first season might not have quite hit the peaks of brilliance of the earlier show and movie, but it's still one of the most consistent and enjoyable sitcoms on TV.

Plus, we've got every hope that things will kick up a gear in the second season (historically, shows start to hit a groove in their second season), and a new trailer has arrived from HBO that doesn't give us any reason to doubt this. There's nothing here that suggests the wheel's been reinvented, but all the favorites are back (especially Jonah, probably the best thing on the show), and the insults are flying. Plus, Gary Cole, creeping steadily towards his goal of appearing in every quality TV show ever made.

Kevin Dunn and Isaiah Whitlock Jr. have also joined the cast for the new series, while "The Thick Of It" star Chris Addison joins Iannucci and Chris Morris as directors for season two. The fun kicks off on April 14th, and you can watch the clip below.
