The first, very brief clip, shows Aaron Paul talking to Winstead about what it would be like going back to the beginning and just going out for the first time. In the movie, the two play a married couple whose dependency on alcohol is reaching troublingly dangerous levels. It's a short, heartfelt scene, and Paul doesn't call anyone a "bitch" or say "yo." Sad emoticon.
In the second clip, also rather short, we see co-star Megan Mullally, who appears to play the principal at the school where Winstead works. (The clip from yesterday showed a fellow teacher, played by Mullally's real-life husband Nick Offerman, talking to her about her drinking.) In this new bit, Mullally confronts Winstead about the lying and drinking and tells her that she's going to have to let her go. Winstead, on her end, is totally wrenching. Even in 44 seconds, you really feel it.
But the most affecting scene is the last, which is Winstead's first time in Alcoholics Anonymous. She starts off by saying she might not know if she's an alcoholic or not, and then goes into how what used to be funny is now scary, and how she wishes she could just have one beer and not 20. Winstead gives a commanding performance and as much as we've loved her in the past, she outdoes herself here. Quite frankly, based on this clip alone we can't wait to see the movie. It really got us all choked up.
Thankfully, we won't have to wait long, since the James Pondsoldt-directed movie, which won the US Dramatic Special Jury Prize at Sundance, will be released by Sony Pictures Classics on October 12th. Bring tissues. [via The Film Stage]

It's good for the hot Aaron Paul to do something like this besides Breaking Bad.

I love watching these clips. Especially when SEPTEMBER'S THREE HOTTEST MASH-UPS!!!! pops in over the actor's faces at the end.
