Directors Of 'Hobo With A Shotgun,' 'A Serbian Film,' 'The Kill List' & Many Others Also On Board

Are you ready to learn “The ABC’s of Death”? The good people at Drafthouse Films, Timpson Films and Magnet Releasing are behind the anthology horror film, an unprecedented effort that will feature 26 vignettes from 26 directors each dedicated to a letter describing a manner of dying, while “a linking device will open, connect and close” each short, according to the official website.

The list of directors is relatively low-key, but they’ve nabbed a who’s-who of young horror talent, including Ti West (“House of the Devil”), Jason Eisner (“Hobo with a Shotgun”), Nacho Vigalando (“Timecrimes”) and Srdjan Spasojevic (“A Serbian Film”). While only 20 filmmakers are confirmed, the plan is to employ 25 professionals, the final short to be shot by an amateur found in a yet-to-be announced competition. Hopefully a pie-eating contest.

The full list of directors includes West, Eisener, Vigalondo, Spasojevic, Angela Bettis (“Roman"), Ben Wheatley (“The Kill List"), Ernesto Diaz Espinoza (“Mirageman“), Banjong Pisanthanakun (“Shutter“), Adrian Garcia Bogliano (“Cold Sweat“), Bruno Forzani and Helene Cattet (“Amer“), Gadi Harel (“Deadgirl“), Thomas Malling (“Norwegian Ninja“), Yoshihiro Nishimura (“Tokyo Gore Police“), Simon Rumley (“Red White & Blue“), Tak Sakaguchi and Yuji Shimomura (“Mutant Girls Squad“), Marcel Sarmiento (also “Deadgirl“), Timo Tjahjanto (“Macabre“), Andrew Traucki (“Black Water“), Jake West (“Doghouse”), Adam Wingard (“A Horrible Way to Die“) and Paul Greengrass (“Bloody Sunday”). Okay, not that last one. Just checking to see if you were paying attention. [indieWire]

Bless you for bolding all of that at the bottom.

Would love to see what the Amer team has in store. That was a bit of a bore but showed some great potential.
