The Humbling

...and so begins the chaos of the fall festival season. With TIFF announcing their first wave of titles this morning, now all eyes are on the teases, pics and trailers that will be coming like slow wave over the coming weeks and months. And so here we go...

Set to make its North American premiere at the fest is Barry Levinson's "The Humbling" starring Al Pacino, Greta Gerwig and Nina Arianda. A batch of new stills have arrived, and below is the official synopsis:

The Humbling tells the story of a legendary stage actor who has an affair with a lesbian woman half his age at a secluded country house in Connecticut. Based on Philip Roth's final novel, it is a tragic comedy about a man who has lived inside his own imagination for too long.

Dan Hedaya, Charles Grodin and Dianne Wiest co-star. Millenium Films has the worldwide rights.
