Looks like Warner Bros. have rejigged their 2012 calendars a bit with the Todd Phillips-masterminded "Project X" and Sylvester Stallone's teaming with Walter Hill for "Bullet To The Head" now due to unveil in the first quarter of 2012.

The Phillips, Joel Silver and WB comedy-collaboration will hit theaters on March 2, 2012 pushing the picture from its previously announced Thanksgiving slot this year. British director Nima Nourizadeh is at the helm for the mysterious project which is scripted by Matt Drake (based on a treatment by "Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World" scribe Michael Bacall) and reportedly centers on "a group of kids documenting a house party that suddenly goes awry."

Shot on a micro-budget of $12 million, the idea of a cinéma vérité-style, teenage-party film through the eyes of Phillips does hold some promise, but a lot will probably depend on the cast which includes Miles Teller ("Rabbit Hole") and a bunch of unknowns including Kirby Bliss Blanton, Dax Flame, Alexis Knapp, Thomas Mann, Nichole O'Connor, Oliver Cooper and Jonathan Daniel Brown. At this stage, however, the release looks like a smart move with only Tommy Wirkola's "Hansel & Gretel: Wtich Hunters" film starring Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arteton and the animated "Dr Seuss' The Lorax" to compete with that weekend.

Meanwhile, Hill's newly retitled "Bullet To The Head" (previously known as "Headshot") may have recently made the headlines for all the wrong reasons (geek favorite Thomas Jane was booted in favor of a multi-racial buddy cop lead pairing), but with the teaming of '80's hotshots Stallone and Hill, the action-thriller should come in with some buzz. Replacing Jane is Sung Kang who stars with Sly as a New Orleans hitman and a Gotham cop, respectively, who team up to take down the men responsible for their wives’ murders. Also featuring are Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Christian Slater, Holt McCallany and Sarah Shahi with "Conan" star Jason Momoa playing the lead villain.

"Bullet To The Head" hits just before the summer season on April 13, 2012, and at this stage will go up against the Joss Whedon-backed "Cabin In The Woods," the Luc Besson-scripted "Lockout" and the omnibus-comedy tentatively titled "Movie 43." [Deadline]
