Tom Cruise Is Jack Reacher In New Poster For 'Jack Reacher' Starring Tom Cruise

As the poster for "Parker" with Jason Statham proved, sometimes you just gotta roll with what people know. And just as a poster for a Jason Statham movie demands that Jason Statham be featured prominently on it so audiences know that Jason Statham is in it, the same rule applies to Tom Cruise.

Over in the U.K., a new poster has dropped for "Jack Reacher," and the movie might as well be called "Tom Cruise" given how big his face is on this thing with little to let you know he's actually playing a character aside from a crimson scar. In case you're still playing catch up, the movie is based on the Lee Child book "One Shot" and follows an ex-military man turned drifter-who-solves-crimes-and-gets-involved-in-people's-lives, who gets wrapped up in a case involving a man accused of killing people with a sniper rifle. And of course, it's all part of a larger conspiracy. But don't worry, Tom Jack Reacher Cruise will figure it out.

All this to say that when the villain of your movie is Werner Herzog, you'd think Paramount would throw film nerds a bone with an image already. Perhaps soon? "Jack Reacher" starring Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher opens on December 21st. [Yahoo!]

Cant wait for this new Alexander Rhodes joint. I'm assuming he's playing a Seven' style character ala Kevin Spacey, hence his name not taking top billing.
