Nah, It's Just A Crummy New Photo

So what happens when the Paramount marketing department decides to go after the "young, urban demographic." This. A new still has arrived from the upcoming "Mission: Impossible -- Ghost Protocol" and it appears that Tom Cruise has signed with No Limit Records and put out a mixtape. Or maybe he's just become wise to who Lady Sovereign is/was and what her Save The Hoodie campaign was all about.

Anyway, it's a pretty hilariously terrible image which reeks of Trying Too Hard. And it also has a distinct stench of Bad Photoshop. Couldn't they just get an actual still from the movie? Anyway, we're not marketers so what do we know, right? At the very least the film does look promising thus far, with a pretty great first trailer dropping at the end of June. Jeremy Renner, Tom Wilkinson, Paula Patton, Josh Holloway, Ving Rhames and Simon Pegg co-star as the good guys, with Michael Nyqvist, Anil Kapoor, Lea Seydoux and Vladimir Mashkov as the villains.

The film opens on December 21st. Watch Tom Cruise get crunk after the jump. [Yahoo]

Haha, someone on Twitter remarked that, in the wake of the London riots, it's particularly poor timing to release a pic of a guy in a hoodie walking away from a burning building.

Embedding the lazy sovereign YT video is hilarious.
