TV Dial: 'The Office' Cast Might Get A Reboot; Donald Glover To Play Tracy Jordan On '30 Rock'; David Tennant Joins 'Spies Of Warsaw' & More

Let's fave it, "The Office" hasn't been the same since Steve Carell left the show and frankly, it was already on the decline during his last season. James Spader was kind of wasted as the new David Wallace (of sorts) and Ed Helms' position as the new office manager was constantly undermined by tepid writing and a recycling of plotlines and running themes from previous seasons. So perhaps it's no surprise NBC may want to start over. With contracts up at the end of the season for Helms, John Krasinski, Jenna Fischer and B.J. Novak and not yet renewed, executive producer Greg Daniels is pitching a reboot of the show that would keep some key cast members, but essentially start fresh. Hmm. Remember how well that worked out for ABC and "Scrubs"?

Let's face it, "The Office" hasn't been the same since Steve Carell left the show, and frankly, it was already on the decline during his last season. James Spader was kind of wasted as the new David Wallace (of sorts) and Ed Helms' position as the new branch manager was constantly undermined by tepid writing and a recycling of plotlines and running themes from previous seasons. So perhaps it's no surprise that NBC may want to start over. With contracts up (and not yet renewed) at the end of the season for Helms, John Krasinski, Jenna Fischer and B.J. Another NBC show up in the air at the moment is "30 Rock," which is still not officially renewed for another season. But they're gonna keep on trucking and they've got another live episode on April 26th, and in an inspired bit of casting, Donald Glover will be playing a young Tracy Jordan. [Vulture]

The always solid David Tennant is doing a dramatic stint in a BBC miniseries, "Spies of Warsaw." Based on the book by Alan Furst, he'll be playing Col. Jean-Francois Mercier, a military attaché of the French embassy who is drawn into political intrigue and whatnot in the leadup to WWII. [The Wrap]

Oh hey, remember when about a year ago it was announced that "Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane was going to be rebooting "The Flinstones"? Well, that's on hold. After excitedly talking it up at SXSW last month, it turns out MacFarlane's schedule is way too busy to meet the planned 2013 launch, so everything with that project is at a standstill until he can free up some time. [Deadline]

Are you missing "Married...With Children"? Well, as part of Fox's 25th anniversary they're going to rebroadcast the pilot episode on Sunday, April 22nd. [Deadline]
