10 Essential Cinematic AntiheroesSkylar Astin, who played the love interest in the movie, told the site about the proposed follow-up: "I do have a meeting with a Universal representative next week. And I know that Rebel Wilson had hers last weekend. It's definitely a talking point." And indeed, it's hardly a surprise that they want Wilson back, with the "Bridesmaids" star continuing to stake her territory as one of the best comic actresses in the game, and having impressed with a number of scene-stealing bits in "Pitch Perfect."
Of course with the movie only just hitting store shelves this week, it’ll be a bit of a wait until we hear anything else on the sequel, including what direction the story will take. Will Anna Kendrick return? Will the story focus more on Wilson? If so, the studio may want to act fast as Wilson is set to lead her very own comedy series on ABC. Let us know what you’d like to see in a “Pitch Perfect” follow up.
