OK, so it's Christmas and maybe we should be kinder and nicer, but who are we kidding? When we see something like the trailer for the terribly named "Waiting For Forever," it brings our inner Scrooge to the surface.

OK, so it's Christmas and maybe we should be kinder and nicer, but who are we kidding? When we see something like the trailer for the terribly named "Waiting For Forever," it brings our inner Scrooge to the surface.

Directed by James Keach, whose biggest previous credit seems to be episodes of "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman," the film aims at girls aged between 10 and 12 and tells the story of Emma (Rachel Bilson) and Will (Tom Sturridge), two neighbors who were friends who reconnect years later, with Emma finding out that the top hat wearing doofus that lives next door is still madly infatuated with her. He is also a juggler. Seriously. This is all kinds of creepy. Anyway, our eyes sort of glazed over as the music swelled and swooned but we had to ask ourselves: does Richard Jenkins still need money that badly to keep doing dreck like this? Between this and "Dear John," we think he's filled his quota of sickly Dad roles.

Anyhow, in case you want to see how this all turns out, the film opens in February. Full juggler-revealing synopsis and trailer after the jump. [THR/Facebook]

Who decides what is normal? A unique love story about friendship and a view of the world from different perspectives, WAITING FOR FOREVER explores the connections people make in the face of life's changes. Best friends while they were growing up, Emma (Rachel Bilson) and Will (Tom Sturridge) lost touch a long time ago—as far as she knows. To Will, Emma never stopped being the most important person in his life. Believing them to be forever linked, he goes wherever she goes. Will doesn’t have a home, a car, or a “real” job. He survives on his talent as a juggler and entertainer—talents honed through years of showing off for Emma. When her father gets sick, Emma returns to their hometown, trying to leave behind her complicated love life and failing career as a TV actress. As its characters face love, death and their own preconceptions, WAITING FOR FOREVER questions the realities of life.
