10 Essential Cinematic AntiheroesScreen Daily report that production company Tu Vas Voir are set to reteam with Salles (whose "The Motorcycle Diaries" helped put the company on the map), for "Terra," which will shoot later in the year. The project is another road movie, about two half brothers -- to be played by Gael Garcia Bernal and Ricardo Darin ("The Secret In Their Eyes") -- who discover during the funeral for their father that he had a mistress in Patagonia, and decide to travel there. Producer Amiel Tenenbaum now says of the project that, "Once Walter is off 'On The Road' we expect the production to come together very quickly." Filming is expected to get underway in Chile and Argentina at the end of the year.
It certainly seems like a smaller, more intimate film than the sprawling "On The Road," and the pairing of Bernal and Darin is certainly hugely promising. We can't wait to find out more.
