Watch: 2 Charming Hyundai Ads Directed By Wes Anderson, Will Air During The Oscars

It seems we'll have a bit more to look forward to during tomorrow night's broadcast of the Oscars than just Sacha Baron Cohen's "The Dictator" walking the red carpet and uh, that Cirque Du Soleil performance. You might want to save the bathroom breaks for the Sound Editing awards instead of the commercials, because Wes Anderson will dropping two new ads for Hyundai. Or, thanks to the magic of the interwebs, you can spare yourself the "Sophie's Choice" dilemma and just watch them now.

Running about 30 seconds each, these are great, super-concentrated packages of all the things we love about Wes Anderson. The first spot titled "Modern Life" shows off his usual impeccable eye for staging a scene, as a harried father tries to make dinner for the family while the kids run riot. As for "Talk To My Car," it's the more fantastical side of Anderson that's on display, in a spot that is heavily reminiscent of "The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou" (right down to that brief bit of Casio-style bleeps and bloops on the soundtrack).

While we patiently wait for "Moonrise Kingdom," arrivingMay 25th, these ads are a solid placeholder. Watch below. [AutoGuide]
