From an assassin drama in "Shadowboxer," to a grim tale of inner city life with "Precious," to a swampy Southern potboiler with "The Paperboy," Lee Daniels hasn't been one to stick to a traditional path. However, his forthcoming "Lee Daniels' The Butler" does find his ambitions reaching a whole new height with probably his biggest story to date. And with the movie coming to theaters, a few new peeks have arrived for the film.

Based on the true story of Eugene Allen, a White House butler who served eight different Presidents, the film chronicles the journey of one servant as he witnesses history change the course of African-Americans. The picture features a starry cast—Forest Whitaker, Oprah Winfrey, Terrence Howard, David Oyelowo, Cuba Gooding Jr., Lenny Kravitz, Alan Rickman, Jane Fonda, John Cusack, Robin Williams, Liam Neeson, Minka Kelly, Alex Pettyfer, Vanessa Redgrave, James Marsden, Liev Schreiber—taking on the roles of famous figures. But in these two new clips from the movie, we see the quieter, character-driven side of the film, and the relationship between Whitaker and Winfrey's leads.

After the clips, there's a 30-minute Q&A with Daniels, Whitaker and Winfrey hosted by Oprah's pal Gayle King and a batch of new images below. "Lee Daniels' The Butler" arrives on August 16th.
