Can lightning strike twice for "Twilight" creator Stephenie Meyer? Already behind of the of the biggest franchises in recent memory, she's now bringing "The Host" to theaters, with "Gattaca" helmer Andrew Niccol directing. It's another triangular tale with a young girl in the middle of two non-descript dudes, and these three clips give a taste of what's in store.
Basically, the movie follows a young woman who has to keep the alien presence in the brain from revealing to the bad guys where the leaders of the resistance are in Future Earth or something. Humans that aren't pod people are scarce, so that explains the first scene, an awkward meet-cute. And in the next two we both love and action take center stage. We're sure there's an audience for this, but it's probably not us.
