Clear History

With Larry David continuing to gain plaudits for his long-running HBO series, “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” it was only a matter of time before the “Seinfeld” co-creator turned to something else. “Clear History” tells the story of a man (David) who plots revenge against his boss (Jon Hamm) who made millions off an electric car company. We listed the all-star cast joining the miniseries last September, and a few clips have dropped in anticipation of its debut next weekend.

The three clips included show off the situational humor and loveable insanity that is David’s character (who looks like a hobo in a Hawaiian shirt). You also get a bit of Jon Hamm as the boss who can’t seem to understand his employee’s frustration at him. The only issue is that all three clips have been seen in the constant commercials aired on the HBO network. Is this HBO simply keeping things close to the vest? Or maybe we'll get a few more previews over the next week. Either way, we're tuning in.

“Clear History” airs August 10th at 9 p.m. on HBO.

I'm a HUGE fan of Larry David. LOVE Curb Your Enthusiasm. But David's movies (or his one movie, Sour Grapes) aren't very good and this looks like Curb warmed over. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
