Game Of Thrones Season 2

As if the most complicated show on television with the most expansive cast needs more fodder for discussion, fans are now buzzing about four deleted scenes included on the “Game of Thrones” Season 2 DVD and Blu-ray set, most of them centering on less prominent characters.

Least popular among fans seems to be a gratuitous scene in which Doreah (Roxanne McKee) murders Irri (Amrita Acharia), which many see as being egregiously out of character for her. More enjoyable are an exchange between Loras (Finn Jones) and Margaery (Natalie Dormer) in which she consoles him following the death of Renly for which he feels responsible, a condescending battle of wits between Lord Varys (Conleth Hill) and Littlefinger (Aiden Gillen), and a scene in which Sandor (Rory McCann) threateningly confronts Sansa (Sophie Turner), displaying his violent desire for her.

Comment what you will, but in the end, sometimes even quality scenes are cut for the good of the show as a whole. Enjoy the extras and tune in for Season 3 when it premieres on March 31st. [io9]
