If and when a new social media app becomes remotely popular you can rest assured that movie and television marketers will exploit the hell out of it. So, yes, the six-second Vine tease is not going away any time soon and we’re just going to have to live with it.
HBO announced yesterday that their flagship show “Game of Thrones” will be returning for its fifth season on April 6th and so in anticipation of the full trailer—which debuts January 12th, at 8:58 p.m. (right before "True Detective")—they’ve released a collection of five Vine teases to whet your appetite for the upcoming show. If you’re still reeling from the “Rains Of Castamere” episode, which we ranked among the 15 Best TV Episode of 2013, you’ll wanna check these out.
In case you missed it, HBO announced a number of premiere dates at the TCAs this week, including the end of “Boardwalk Empire” (its upcoming fifth season will be its last) and new seasons of “Veep” and their new comedy series “Silicon Valley,” which will also debut on April 6th. “Game of Thrones” is so popular it topped the list of most pirated shows in 2013.
