Watch: 8-Bit Video Game Adaptation Of 'Mean Girls'

Given the state of the internet, where the most popular things are 8-bit video game chic and the movie "Mean Girls," it's incredible that no one has ever thought about combining the two. Maybe people intended to, and got distracted by Buzzfeed or something.

Given the state of the internet, where the most popular things (except for cat GIFs and ARGUING ENDLESSLY ABOUT BATMAN) are 8-bit video game chic and the movie "Mean Girls," it's incredible that no one has ever thought about combining the two. Maybe people intended to, and got distracted by Buzzfeed or something.

Anyway, the day has finally arrived, because Cinefix (via Vulture) have adapted Tina Fey and Mark Waters' seminal mid-00s teen comedy into a faux-8-bit point-and-click adventure. And while it feels a little bit cynical (he said, posting it on a website), it's got a pretty solid attention to detail, and is fairly entertaining, if a little overlong at four minutes. Take a look below, and stop trying to make fetch happen.
