10 Essential Cinematic AntiheroesAfter a surprise screening at SXSW earlier this year, buzz has been building steadily around the pic, and this new red band trailer is pretty hair-raising. Not exactly filled with boobs or blood, this one earns its color rating due to some truly disturbing imagery (the last shot is a real kicker) and a pretty intense atmosphere of dread. And while our man is Austin liked the picture, but wished it had a bit more resonance, others at The Playlist who have checked it out have come back with the enthusiasm for the movie. Even this writer who isn't the world's biggest horror buff has put "Sinister" on the radar after giving this trailer a spin.
"Sinister" will scare you silly on October 12th. Watch below.

I hate Yahoo video, everything looks like La Jetee - a series of still images. Studios need to stop releasing their trailers there. What's the point of people's first looks at a film being through such a poor quality medium?

Does Hawke still rate a "yawn, right?" when fawning over the Before Trilogy?

Seriously, this reads as if a two year-old wrote it.

Reviews are good thus far... seems quite a potent movie. After all the found-footage gimmickry It makes sense that it went full circle back to actual found-footage in film..
