Eli Roth has taken viewers to some strange, depraved places in his career thus far, and this time, deep in the jungle, he finds even more horror in his upcoming "The Green Inferno." And the first trailer for the film is here to give you a taste of what's coming.

Featuring Lorenza Izzo, Ariel Levy, Daryl Sabara and Kirby Bliss Blanton, the film follows a bunch of earnest, New York City students who travel to the Amazon to try to help a dying native tribe. But soon they are taken hostage and shit gets very real. But is it any good? Our man at TIFF last year was less than impressed, saying Roth's latest is "more juvenile, less polished and feels less labored over" than his previous films.

"The Green Inferno" opens on September 5th. Watch below.
