10 Essential Cinematic AntiheroesHad his sister finally discovered his secret life? Would he be forced to kill her? Either way, the show was seemingly changed forever, and fans have been gasping to find out the conclusion over the seven months since the Season Six finale aired. Well, to help the breathe a little easier, Showtime debuted the first two minutes of the Season Seven premiere at Comic-Con early this morning, and like a flash have put it online for fans who couldn't make it to San Diego to enjoy.
We gave up investing in the show a while back, but even so, this feels like something of a cop-out to us -- hinting that the creators are allowing the status quo to go on for the most part. But we suppose that they've got to make their two final seasons somehow, and the dynamic between Dexter and Debra is certain to change, and will hopefully inject a little more drama into the series. Ray Stevenson and Yvonne Strahovksi have joined the show for Season Seven, and you'll be able to see them when "Dexter" returns to Showtime on September 30th. Watch the clip below.

This is a really stupid article. I think this clip is fantastic. It doesn't "resolve" shit. She knows he killed him. No matter what happens now, everything is different, and either his life is going to start coming unglued or Deb is going to die somehow.

Dexter has been uneven to be sure, but never "piss poor"....Hall's performance alone prevents that from happening.

I don't see how they can stretch this out over two seasons now that Deb has seen Dexter in action. I expect the story lines will be incredibly contrived. That said, I will still tune every week like a total sucker. I'm too invested to quit now.
