It seems every few months comes another movie about celebrity obsession and/or the perils of being on the internet, and very few have anything original to say. Which brings us to "Open Windows," an upcoming thriller that looks like a remake of "Getaway" with a laptop instead of a car.

It seems every few months comes another movie about celebrity obsession and/or the perils of being on the internet, and very few have anything original to say. Which brings us to "Open Windows," an upcoming thriller that looks like a remake of "Getaway" with a laptop instead of a car.

Written and directed by Nacho Vigalondo, who seems on the precipice of tossing out the goodwill earned by "Timecrimes" and "Extraterrestrial," the film follows a superfan nerd (Elijah Wood) of an attractive actress (Sasha Grey, in another attempt at regular acting with her clothes mostly on) who misses out on a chance to meet her. He's then given some kind of hack to watch her remotely and then there's lots of mouse clicks and ridiculous layers of windows and tabs, because COMPUTERS!

No word yet on a release date on this one, but we'd wager it'll be a VOD thing soon enough. Watch below.
