10 Essential Cinematic Antiheroes
Starring Elle Fanning and Alice Englert, "Ginger & Rosa" tracks the friendship between two teenagers that begins to strain under the pressure of romance and the changing political and social world around them in the 1960s. Yes, that's Fanning sporting an English accent, but you'll be too busy taking in the "beautiful, yet dark and moving, unsparing" film to notice or care. It's one that certainly convinced us that Fanning is the real deal (as if you didn't know that already), and would have her in awards season talk if the movie was a contender. But without a release date from A24 just yet (dudes?) it's just not gonna happen.
"Ginger & Rosa" hits UK theaters tomorrow.

Elle Fanning reminds me of Ruth Wilson in this clip.
