Watch: Epic Marketing Continues With New TV Spot For 'Man Of Steel'

TV spots, for the most part, are pretty dull affairs, hyper-edited, condensed versions of longer trailers that are meant to grab your attention between snack refills and remind you when the movie is coming out. And then there is "Man Of Steel." The marketing team has been pushing "epic" over "CRASH BOOM RELEASE DATE," and if you need any further evidence, just watch the latest trailer, which was so good that we just had to break it down. And now a TV spot continues that trend, not only giving us a thirty second preview, but also maintaining that same tone.

Firstly, there is handful of new footage here, which makes it worth watching in the first place, but again, it underscores one of the underlying themes of the movie: "What if a child aspired to something greater?" Going from outer space (yep) right into the all-American town of Smallville, this is a pretty quick but no less hair-raising journey into "Man Of Steel."
