Want to know how to keep the box office hot for your movie and make the final pitch for some Oscar hardware? Take a look at this latest bit of marketing for "Lincoln," which definitely goes far and beyond your standard EPK fare.

Running 20 minutes long, "Lincoln: An American Journey" goes behind the scenes with Steven Spielberg, author Doris Kearns Goodwin (who penned "Team Of Rivals" on which the movie is based), Daniel Day-Lewis and Sally Field and much more to go over the 12-year journey to make the movie. For anyone who is a fan of the movie, this is worthwhile stuff that should be fascinating to dig into. And if you haven't seen the movie yet, in addition to the background, you'll be treated to a healthy amount of clips from the movie. And if you're not convinced after all that, we don't know what to tell you.

Certainly, with 12 Oscar nominations, Spielberg's film is a big contender next month. The Oscars are handed out on February 24th, and "Lincoln" is still going strong in theaters now, where it has become the highest grossing drama of 2012 with over $150 million and counting. It's still yet to open overseas, and when it does, those not up on their American history will get a pre-film text scroll giving you the context you need to know. Watch below, over at Apple or this Sunday at 12 noon Eastern on CBS.
