10 Essential Cinematic AntiheroesWhile a release date is still a bit up in the air, recent reports seem to peg it for a May 23rd bow which likely means a return to the Cannes Film Festival for both Refn and Ryan Gosling, after wowing the Croisette with "Drive" in 2011. To remind you, the story centers on Julian (Gosling), a man living in exile in Bangkok after killing a cop. He runs a Thai boxing club with his brother as a front for the family's drug smuggling operation, run by his Florida-based mom Jenna (Kristin Scott Thomas). But when his brother gets murdered, Julian is put on a path that will find him squaring off against a retired cop named Chang aka The Angel of Vengeance.
So sit back, and take in 20 seconds from the movie and let us know your first impressions below.

Terrible quality, too bad.
But Kristin Scott Thomas looks like the devil's wife, so that can't be anything but great.

Drive was okay. But this looks awful. Drugs, bargirls, thai kickboxing... why don't they throw in elephants too to make cliches about films set in Thailand complete?
Refn is no auteur. He's just a stylist. An immature one at that.

After Valhalla Rising, Bronson and Drive, I'd be pumped up for an IKEA commercial directed by Refn. Sign me up!

First impressions are that I want more, wonder where this came from cause it seems like a fragment of something, and want to see it in better quality. That being said yeah for what it is it looks good, think this ones got a ton of promise
