The year was 2010. The movie: "Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief." And apparently, the $220 million worldwide haul for the movie (most of it from overseas) was enough to convince Fox that this was a franchise worth continuing. So now, three years later, we have "Percy Jackson: Sea Of Monsters" and if you're one of the few people who are actually looking forward to this, well, today is your lucky day.
The first trailer has dropped, though you might have already seen it if you went to see "The Host" this past weekend for some reason. Logan Lerman is back in the title role, with Stanley Tucci continuing his random steps into the blockbuster world, taking the role of Dionysus. But mostly, this one is for the young folks, with Alexandra Daddario, Brandon T. Jackson, Jake Abel, Leven Rambin, Daniel Cudmore among those in the cast. Oh yeah, Nathan Fillion too as Hermes.
So, do you actually care enough to see this? Does this trailer convince you? 'Sea Of Monsters' tries for franchise legitimacy on August 16th.
