10 Essential Cinematic Antiheroes
The film finds Efron playing the race-car-driving son of a farmer, who is struggling to save his farm in the midst of a government investigation. The father wants his son to take over the family business, but the kid has other things on his mind -- namely girls and cars. While reaction was definitely mixed on the picture, and while we had our own issues with it, our man in Venice ultimately gave a thumbs up to the picture, and in particular the performance of Dennis Quaid as Efron's Dad.
"The actor is truly the center of the film, and he’s honestly terrific from the first frame to the last," Oli wrote in his review, adding that the film is "powerful, engaging and, by the finale, moving." And while there does seem to be some small thematic crossover with the recently released "Promised Land," this looks to be presenting at least a fresh approach, and anything Bahrani is involved with we'll be watching anyway.
"At Any Price" opens on April 26th. Watch below.

Very interesting trailer.
Immediately visible, intelligent and thoughtful film.
I'm very excited.

There's a reason the film is rated only a 5.5 out of 10 on imdb. As Ben mentioned, film did play in 2012, dialogue is as dreadful and film pretentious grandstanding as Q and A with director.

Don't know if they picked the wrong scenes to show in the trailer but the dialogue seems to be dreadful.
