Earlier this week, the full-length trailer for "Godzilla" arrived, and it was pretty terrific. Looking much smarter than your average summer blockbuster, with real menace, stakes and goosebump-raising atmosphere, it certainly got people talking about the movie and what to expect. Well, director Gareth Edwards is ready to provide some feedback, even if he's still playing his cards close to the vest.
The filmmaker dropped by Empire to talk about the latest tease for the monster movie, and dove into some of secrets you might have missed. One of the most significant is Edwards confirming that the damaged Statue of Liberty is not in Manhattan—though he won't say where. He also reveals that Bryan Cranston gives a helluva performance (duh) and tells you to pay attention to the origami in the corner of the frame in the opening scene of the trailer as it's a hint of what's to come.
"Godzilla" stomps on the Earth on May 16th. Watch below.
