Heavy on the brawn, light on the brains – the “G.I. Joe” franchise is back. Manned with the usual selection of muscle headed talent, and the odd addition of Bruce Willis (guess he had bills to pay), the second instalment, “G.I. Joe: Retaliation,” is stepping up its promotion with the release of three teaser clips While former G.I. Joe-ers Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Sienna Miller have wisely bowed out of round 2, Dwayne Johnson (or “The Rock” to testosterone enthusiasts) will be subbing in to take the lead alongside Willis, and Channing Tatum, who is returning to secure the female vote.

That the sequel is easy on the eyes goes without saying – that budget’s gotta go somewhere, but the guns-blazing approach of the teaser material indicates that this is action at its shallowest. Arriving in cinemas March 28th, 'Retaliation' marks the start of a sequel-season which will see the “Iron Man”, “Star Trek” and “Fast and Furious” franchises reinstated on our screens. It’s going to be a very long, and very loud, summer. Watch below.
