With "The Dark Knight Rises" headed to home video in the next couple of weeks, you'll soon be able to dig into Christopher Nolan's finale to his Batman trilogy of films. So far, we've had some pretty nice previews in advance of the release. We've seen the big Bane vs. Batman showdown detailed by 45 behind-the-scenes pics, as well as a look at the transformation of Tom Hardy into the ripped villain. Now, another big setpiece to the movie has been deconstructed.

A featurette has made its way online, this time detailing the football field explosion that was a big wow moment of the first trailer. Within it, Nolan's team explains how they achieved the effect that allowed Bane to unleash his act of terror against the citizens of Gotham, and it's impressive.

Take a look below. "The Dark Knight Rises" arrives on Blu-ray Combo Pack, DVD and Digital Download December 3rd in the U.K. and December 4th in the U.S. [MSN]

The football scenes were the most disappointing part of the movie, in my opinion. It looked fake, moreso than it should have, and the stadium seemed near empty, which it obviously was but they didn't hide that fact very well. That whole part of the movie felt cheap to me.
