It's not often one can get truly excited for a tentpole, when it seems every big budget movie is merely a set up for the next one. And while we're sure everyone involved with "Godzilla" is thinking franchise, that doesn't diminish the fact that Gareth Edwards' film looks an exciting and gripping take on the material, and one not necessarily geared to move toys. And certainly, as far as this summer goes, it's one that's higher on a radar than most other studio fare coming down the line.

And certainly, as far as this summer goes, it's one that's higher on a radar than most other studio fare coming down the line.

But aside from the approach — which we will already know will be somewhat dark — it'll be interesting to know where Edwards' head is at when it comes to the creatures. Well, this brief little featurette is a clue, with the director revealing this top three movie monsters. One of them you'll probably be able to guess, but we'll let you discover the rest. Meanwhile, a batch of new photos (via Blackfilm) have arrived highlighting the destruction that's coming along with key castmembers Bryan Cranston, Ken Watanabe, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olson.
