10 Essential Cinematic AntiheroesPremiering earlier this year at the Sundance Film Festival to a plethora of positive notices (including our own which said that the film lands on an "even keel between hilarity and heartache"), the film presents the story of Celeste (Rashida Jones) and Jesse (Andy Samberg) as they break up, and maintain a close friendship, while trying to navigate the waters of new romance elsewhere. Regret, melancholy and humor seem to mix here in an impressive blend, and it looks like Jones, who co-wrote the script with Will McCormack, and director Lee Toland Krieger, who is making his followup to the underrated "The Vicious Kind," have much to be proud of here.
The film opens on August 3rd -- check out the trailer below. P.S. That electronic track in the trailer is "Drifting In And Out" by Porcelain Raft.

This actually looks pretty great--and "The Vicious Kind" is worthwhile if only for Adam Scott's performance.
Weirdly, I think the title would flow better if it were "Jesse and Celeste Forever"
