10 Essential Cinematic AntiheroesIf the movie sticks to what happens in the comics, it will see Kick-Ass and Justice Forever doing battle with The Mother Fucker and his own band of super-villains, The Toxic Mega-Cunts, in a story that will likely very much earn its R-rating. Aaron Taylor-Johnson returns as the eponymous hero, along with Chloe Moretz and Christopher Mintz-Plasse, while the cast is rounded out by Jim Carrey as Colonel Stars -- an ex-mafia member turned vigilante who forms Justice Forever -- Donald Faison, Lindy Booth, John Leguizamo and newcomer Olga Kurkulina as Mother Russia.
"There's going to get a bit more romance, a much more grown-up Mindy Macready," Moretz told Press Association last month about Hit-Girl. "Someone who's questioning themself and whether they are a villain, assassin or a vigilante and a hero. So there's a lot of tormented inner self, it's interesting."
Watch below -- thoughts? Opinions? Just as kick-ass as "Kick-Ass" or did this fall flat on its ass? The movie opens on August 16th. Updated: A new poster and six new images from the film have arrived as well.

Looks incredibly visceral which will keep the fans happy. Some awesome fight sequences there

This actually looks pretty good, Carrey looks like he might have gone of te deep end for this role, which is perfect for this movie.

Can't see Johnson-Taylor as a teen anymore. I know the guy is younger than Andrew Garfield, but he doesn't look it.

Man, this looks cheap, bad effects and ugly lighting.
The things that made me mildly enjoy the first one were Nic Cage, Mark Strong and Matthew Vaughn. So... I literally have not a single reason to watch this film.

The original is probably one of my least favorite movies ever. This looks equally cheap, ugly and awful.

The brief glimpse of Mark Strong as Frank D'Amico only made his absence more conspicuous.
