Do you want to know who Jack Reacher is? Just watch this first clip from the Tom Cruise vehicle that Paramount is hoping will go full throttle later this month.

Based on "One Shot" by Lee Child, the book is one in a seriers of best-selling thrillers centered around Jack Reacher, an ex-military investigator turned drifter who never stays in one place for long, but manages to make his presence known just long enough to solve whatever problems cross his path. So why is he so hard to track down? Well, as you'll see in the scene below, he's pretty much off the grid and (in the books anyway) only travels with an ATM card and a toothbrush.

It's a pretty good reveal for those unfamiliar with the character, for what everyone involves hopes will be franchise starter. Check it out below. [The Film Stage]
