Jennifer Garner Joel Edgerton The Odd Life Of Timothy Green

Ok seriously, just look at that image above. Does "The Odd Life Of Timothy Green" not seem like the most punchable movie of 2012? Well, if you need more convincing here's the brand new trailer for the movie, and warning: if you're a diabetic, this may send your blood/sugar levels through the roof.

Starring Jennifer Garner and Joel Edgerton (dude, you can do so much better than this) the Disney movie follows a couple, who after being unable to conceive a child, bury their wishes in the backyard only for some kid to grow out of the ground, come into their lives, and change them forever. You know, this is one of those movies where a kid manages to make dying people laugh, endear himself to adults and bring a little magic into the world, and we just threw up in our mouth a little bit. This seems like an unrelenting quirk fest of the highest order. Peter Hedges ("Dan In Real Life," "Pieces Of April") directs the movie with no fear of primary colors, while talented people like Rosemarie DeWitt, Dianne Wiest, Ron Livingston and uh, Common, round out the cast and cash some paychecks.

This drivel opens on August 15th. Watch below if you dare.

What a snark fest! Hello, it is a DISNEY movie. It is a fantasy family story. Of COURSE it is going to be positive and uplifting. So what? Don't go. The rest of us are going to watch it first before we make a judgement. Please stop inflicting your unhappiness on the rest of us.

So, what great movie masterpieces have all you 'superior' geniuses turned out lately? What? You don't make movies? Sounds like you really have no room to talk, then. But I'm sure you'll continue with your putdowns, because that's what you do. Pretty sad. "Let's all sit around and rip this movie apart, then we can feel like hip movie critics!"

Thought I'd check out the site. Won't be back.

Joel, what are you doing in this film? Strange to see him in this and Jennifer is too damn perky.

  • Rszanto | May 11, 2012 1:32 AMReply

Worst remake ever? "Little Otik" deserved better from Hollywood.

There's a great potential horror movie in this stupid looking film. A married couple, depressed because of their incapability to have children or adopt any (what will the movies excuse for that one? they're too financially secure? or they couldn't find any white kids in the orphanage?) go INSANE and imagine they have a child. Their terrifying behavior of dragging their non-kid to school socials & church events makes them & their town a pariah. THAT I'd watch.

Also, $50 bucks says the kid dies when winter comes. Hankies are wept into & Jennifer Garner is magically preggers next Spring & they decide to name their new Brood "Timothy".

Im sure you like The Curious Case of Benjamin Button though.

Good. I agree it is Fincher's worst as well. Like Batman Begins is Nolan's worst film by far.

    Alien 3 begs to disagree.

    Actually, I don't. It's Fincher's worst film by far.
