The clock is ticking to the kickoff the Cannes Film Festival which will unveil Wes Anderson's "Moonrise Kingdom" as its opening film, and "Moonrise Kingdom" will be competing In Competition as well. Unlike many of the films unspooling on the Croisette, this one will be arriving in theaters just as the fest is wrapping so luckily, fans have been treated to a wealth of promo material in the run-up to the movie, and well, there's even more today.

A pretty nice making-of featurette has made its way online, featuring interviews with the key cast about their characters (except the two young leads Jared Gilman and Kara Hayward, and there's no Wes Anderson either). And if you want to dig even deeper, 20 minutes worth of b-roll footage -- essentially stuff shot while on set during production -- is also available to take a look at, though you might wind up spoiling some of the fun of seeing the movie fresh when it opens. Proceed with caution. But either way, lots here for Anderson fans to dig into.

"Moonrise Kingdom" makes its Cannes premiere on May 16th and will open in limited release on May 25th. Check it out below, but first a couple a new pics from the movie. [TrailerAddict/Facebook]
