Watch: Martin Freeman & Ricky Gervais Get Mashed Up In 'The Office: An Unexpected Journey'

Before he was Bilbo, before he was Watson, Martin Freeman was Tim Canterbury, a lowly salesman at Wernham Hogg Paper Company. It's hard to believe, but the original U.K. "The Office" is already over ten years old, and its U.S. counterpart is wrapping up at the end of this season too. Well, if you need to a good reminder as to why the original is worth pulling off the shelf and giving another spin, it's gonna come from an unlikely place.

The Office The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey

Before he was Bilbo, before he was Watson, Martin Freeman was Tim Canterbury, a lowly salesman at Wernham Hogg Paper Company. It's hard to believe, but the original U.K. "The Office" is already over ten years old, and its U.S. counterpart is wrapping up at the end of this season too. Well, if you need to a good reminder as to why the original is worth pulling off the shelf and giving another spin, it's gonna come from an unlikely place.

Eager Beaver Productions have put together a pretty great mashup that features the characters Tim, David and Gareth from "The Office" mixed into footage from "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey." And it works pretty well, made us laugh, and if anything, made us eager to throw on those old episodes all over again. If you're still coming down from the holiday season, this is a nice way to ease back into the work week before Monday. Watch below. [Boing Boing]
