Though it may boast the names of Nicole Kidman, Sally Hawkins, Hugh Bonneville and Peter Capaldi, all of them play second fiddle to center of "Paddington"—the bear himself. And the first teaser trailer for the holiday movie gives you a brief look at what the beloved childhood bear looks like on the big screen.
“Harry Potter” producer David Heyman, and “Bunny and the Bull” and “The Mighty Boosh” director Paul King are behind the feature film incarnation of the little brown bear who wears a red hat, blue coat, carries a brown suitcase and comes from "Deepest, Darkest Peru." It's more of a Brit thing, but the marketing ball is getting rolled out early as we're sure everyone involved wants this to have a reach beyond the U.K. As for plot details, there's nothing specific yet, though Colin Firth is voicing the titular character, while Kidman plays the taxidermist villain.
"Paddington" arrives on December 12th.
