Watch: More Minions In First Trailer For 'Despicable Me 2'

After somewhat oddly announcing "Despicable Me 2" by having the minions "sing" The Beach Boys earlier this year, Universal has returned with the first official trailer for the sequel to their hit 2010 movie. And they are keeping those yellow creatures -- arguably, the key to the success of the whole thing -- right up front and center.

As follow-ups tend to do, the voice cast is upgrading with Al Pacino set to terrify your youngsters as the villain, while Steve Coogan is also among those dropping by in a cast that includes returning voices Kristen Wiig, Russell Brand and Miranda Cosgrove as well. And of course, Steve Carell returns as Gru, who will undoubtedly be hatching even more schemes. As for the trailer, it's essentially a skit that plays right to the small folks, centering on the minions (who are getting their own spin-off feature, in case you forgot). If you've dug them last time, no doubt this will be right up your alley.
