So far, the promos for "Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes" have been intense, highlighting the action, tension and fear the sequel will be bringing to the story kicked off in the solid "Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes." But it's not all monkey vs. man mayhem as this latest promo highlights.

So far, the promos for "Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes" have been intense, highlighting the action, tension and fear the sequel will be bringing to the story kicked off in the solid "Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes." But it's not all monkey vs. man mayhem as this latest promo highlights.

We nearly forgot he was in the thing, but Kodi Smit-McPhee leads this latest clip, a quiet moment in the forest where he befriends a primate, much to the astonishment of Jason Clarke and Keri Russell. Meanwhile, the special effects continue to get more shine in this WETA featurette, which provides a nice look behind-the-scenes, explaining how the VFX this time are even more VFX-esque than the last time. Basically, it's a three minute reel to convince you of how much work they put into the thing, and certainly, it shows.

"Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes" opens on July 11th.
