10 Essential Cinematic AntiheroesAfter the excellent trailer for Niels Arden Oplev’s Hollywood debut “Dead Man Down,” this new clip won’t cause a stir, though it is of a pivotal moment in the plot when Noomi Rapace shows Colin Farrell the video she took of him murdering a man in his apartment -- the video she’ll use to blackmail him into exacting her own revenge. More specifically, the clip actually is the video. Lisbeth Salander or not, Rapace is really attached to this filmed-evidence-as-blackmail concept. “Dead Man Down” hits theaters March 8.
Meanwhile, the more immediate but probably less pressing “Dark Skies” has a new clip and poster, both featuring... more birds! The clip and poster are basically expansions on one of the creepy, if derivative, trailer moments when a few flocks of birds commit mass suicide by ramming into Keri Russell’s house. It remains to be seen whether the fright-fest will bring any surprises when it premieres February 22. Watch below. [ComingSoon/Daily Dead/Empire]
