If you've been wondering who wins out when a director would prefer to keep things under wrap versus a studio who wants to make sure people show up in theaters....let this new nearly four minute long extended trailer for Neill Blomkamp's "Elysium" answer that question.
With the movie getting set to dock into theaters next week, Sony have been busy pouring out new images and clips in a fury, hoping that moviegoers — who tend to get cagier about hitting cinemas in August — make a detour for their local multiplex for this one. Much of the footage you'll have seen in previous spots, but there are some more moments here with Alice Braga, whose young child Matt Damon's lead is looking to help, and Sharlto Copley as the baddie tasked with stopping our hero at all costs. Speaking of clips, another has arrived showing what happens when you try to break the secure environment of the space station of Elysium, where the world's wealthy and healthy are housed.
