While variations of the Noah myth can be found in a handful of faiths, we'd reckon that over in Japan it might not be as familiar as it might be in the West. But no matter, a movie about the end of the world is still a movie about the end of the world, and the waters still rise in this new international spot for "Noah."
Darren Aronofsky's latest heads for multiplex shores in the spring, hoping to tell a juicier version of the Bible story than you might have heard on Sunday mornings. Russell Crowe plays the man tasked by god to build a giant ark and ride out the coming storm, and along the way he'll have to do battle with heathen Ray Winstone, and....set fire to the Earth? We don't remember that part. But like we said, this take on the story has a few more bells and whistles, and lots and lots of CGI animals.
"Noah" starts boarding on March 28, 2014. [Comic Book Movie]
