Watch: 'Iron Man 3' Flies To The Rescue In Super Bowl Teaser Trailer

So you spend millions and million of dollars on a Super Bowl spot, only to have every other rival studio drop their ads right at the same time. Smart marketing? We'll let the accountants sort it out, but Marvel is hoping to transform jocks into nerds with this Super Bowl spot.

Giving fans a whole bunch of new footage, including a pretty nifty mid-air rescue, this "Iron Man 3" advert offers up new looks at Aldrich Killian (Guy Pearce), Mandarin (Ben Kingsley), and War Machine (Don Cheadle) along with Iron Man and Pepper Potts, played by Robert Downey Jr. and Gwyneth Paltrow. And we have to say, out of all the advertising slammed at our faces so far tonight, this trailer looks like the most epic of the bunch. Not bad for a third installment in a franchise that was seriously treading water the last time out.

"Iron Man 3" arrives on May 3rd. 30 second and 90 second spots below.

Before seeing the extended look, I thought you were either joking or unnecessarily harsh on him. Yeah... I agree. RDJ is pathetic. It makes me sad.
