While it might seem like nothing but sequels and blockbusters on the horizon, this spring, a film is arriving that is intellectually satisfying, completely riveting and an undeniably unique piece of work. We're talking about "Under The Skin," and after some new pics earlier this week, a terrific red band teaser trailer is here, cut by Jonathan Glazer himself.
Starring Scarlett Johansson, featuring very minimal dialogue, and relying on its beautiful imagery and a score by Mica Levi that will surely wind up as one of the year's best, the film tells the story of an alien, harvesting human bodies on Earth, who suffers a life-changing crisis of conscience. And set upon the windswept moors of Scotland, it's a fantastic stranger-in-a-strange-land tale, that is also a humane look at how we relate and co-exist. There are a plethora of ideas thrumming through the movie and in case you can't tell, we highly, highly endorse the movie.
"Under The Skin"opens in New York and Los Angeles on April 4th and rolls out on April 11th. Watch below. [HitFix]
