Hugely successful and perhaps equally controversial, there's no denying that Lena Dunham's "Girls" is nothing short of a phenomenon. And the creator/writer/producer/star has been striking while the iron is red hot, set to deliver the third season in less than three years in January. And a new teaser has landed showing off the first actual footage from the new season.

Hugely successful and perhaps equally controversial, there's no denying that Lena Dunham's "Girls" is nothing short of a phenomenon. The creator/writer/producer/star has been striking while the iron is red hot, set to deliver the third season in less than three years in January. Now, a new teaser has landed showing off the first actual footage from the new season.

But don't get too excited. This is an Instagram tease (all the kids are doing it!) and thus flips by in, well, an instant, but it's worth enough for a click. Nothing revelatory, but we do see all our usual faves — Hannah, Adam, Adam, Shoshanna, Marnie and Jessa — back in action with undoubtedly more Brooklyn based hijinks to come. Speaking of which, you might be interested to know that Grumpy's Café, that both Hannah and Ray worked at, is a totally real chain and now legit thanks to a New York Times profile, who write:

Further, Café Grumpy is a leading practitioner of pour-over coffee, the latest manifestation of coffee zealotry. The pour-over requires that each cup be made individually with a slow-drip ceramic filter. Which, to the cynical, is a way to not only overcharge you for a cup of coffee but also make you wait longer for it.

So, if you're fanatical about your coffee, you know where to go. "Girls" returns on January 12th with two new episodes starting at 10 PM. Update: A new full length trailer for the season just dropped which you can check out below. [Complex]
