As writer/creator Matthew Weiner has already made clear, don't read too much into the airport/airplane centered promos for the seventh season of "Mad Men." The motif was mostly selected to allow the cast to look glamorous and they certainly do in this new teaser for the final season of the show. And as you might expect, the final fourteen episodes are gonna be packed.
"I’d like to think that every season is the beginning of something new. Sometimes it takes a while for the audience to get used to that. But this was the beginning of the end," Weiner explained to Buzzfeed. "These are the last 14 hours of the show. They’re pretty dense. We’ve found that the desire to focus on the main characters is palpable because there’s not a lot of real estate. Suddenly, 14 hours doesn’t seem like that much. But it is a new story, as we do every season, but that story is our life story."
And we'll see how that life story comes to end starting on April 13th, when the first half of season seven kicks off on AMC. Teaser below along with new pics.
