Yeah, we know. It feels like there's been about fifteen trailers for "Maleficent" already, and Disney has dropped yet another, but instead of essentially playing like an extended TV spot, this is a legit full length spot with lots of new footage, magical stuff and bellowing. So let's take a gander, shall we?
Angelina Jolie leads the family movie as the evil Maleficent, the villain of "Sleeping Beauty," who is the centre of this prequel of sorts to the animated movie. But she's sort of half-evil here, with the movie revealing everything that happens that turns her heart two sizes too small. And coming right in the middle of it all is Aurora, played by Elle Fanning, who gets a very loud curse placed on her that renders her into a fairy dust coma on her sixteenth birthday, at least until Sam Riley shows up.
It all looks rendered with little money spared, but it will be up to audiences to vote on whether or not they need to see this saga extended. "Maleficent" waves a wand on May 30th.
