While it won't be in the Oscar mix both because it won't be ready and for the fact that it's, as George Clooney calls it, "a commercial, non-cynical piece of entertainment," "Monuments Men" still has the kind of star power to attract a red carpet. Indeed, it will be making its international premiere at the Berlin Film Festival in just a couple of months. And with that in mind, a brand new overseas trailer has arrived.
Featuring lots of new footage, but the same "Ocean's Eleven"-meets-WWII vibe, this new spot features dashingly handsome men, real history, genuine emotion and all told, promises a pretty decent couple of hours at the movie house. Mission: accomplished, Clooney? Based on Robert M. Edsel's book, the movie chronicles the true story of a specially commissioned platoon who are tasked with recovering stolen artwork before the end of WWII, and a bunch of magazine ready faces—Matt Damon, Bill Murray, John Goodman, Jean Dujardin, Bob Balaban, Hugh Bonneville, and Cate Blanchett—make up the squad. What's not to like?
